June's Dispravity (really crappy sneak peek)

    Creeaaak.... The rusted cage door slammed shut behind the little girl. The young girl did not respond to the sound. Perhaps they drugged me again, the young girl pondered. her head felt foggy and her eyes drooped. She had given up kicking, screaming, and biting long ago... Why on earth would they need to drug me now? With a laborious effort, she sat up. She took a good look around the room she was in.... computers, data, strange and painful doctor and lab equipment, medicines, tranquilizers, tasers, and  cages on top of cages filled with other sad and lonely creatures, some with childlike mannerisms, others too depressed and broken spirited to even look up... and then there were a few that were too still... I wonder if they fell asleep and never woke up? She glanced up at her father across the room. He had white hair and mahogany brown eyes like her, she had never seen her own face before but she was sure looked like him, except he was always clean and she was always dirty. She could see him arguing  with other scientists, she tried to pay attention to what  they were saying the drug was finally getting to her. I wonder if I'll ever wake up... I hope not... And so the nameless child fell asleep "What do you mean we were wasting our time on project Leo Dr. Adolphus?!" "What I mean is that thing is five years old now and has not shown any signs of any lion DNA! She will not make a good fighter at all! It may be my offspring it is completely useless!" Dr. Adolphus rasped. (this is old, I have an edited this paragraph to hell and back no worries)
